Madeira Island Tour / 7 Days

Day 1 - Sunday - Welcome to Madeira

Private transfer from Funchal Airport to the Hotel. Accommodation at Funchal, the capital of Madeira island.

Day 2 - Monday - Porto Moniz (full day including lunch):

Cape Girão, highest cape of Europe with spectacular views. Ribeira Brava, nice little town near the West coast. Encumeada, a city with a viewpoint where on clear days you can see both the North and South coast of the island. São Vincente, a settlement where Laurissilva is located, an endemic forest and World Heritage Site. Porto Moniz, known for its natural pools. Here we will have a stop for lunch. Visit to the Aquarium (entrance included). Paul da Serra (1500m), the only plateau of the island. Stop at the Pico da Urze. Câmara de Lobos, last stop for a visit to this fishing village. Accommodation at Funchal.

Day 3 - Tuesday - Eira do Serrado (morning) and Madeira Night (night)

Eira do Serrado – Viewpoint from 1094m with views over the volcano's crater and the Nun's Valley. Return to Funchal for a visit of the splendid Botanical Garden. In Funchal, you will visit one of the best known houses of Madeira embroidery. Evening program - Patrício & Gouveia: in a typical restaurant outside of Funchal, the flavor of grilled meat on skewers accompanied by the famous Bolo do caco and fried corn are the highlights of this delicious dinner with music and Madeiran folklore dance, the "Bailinho" of Madeira. Day 4 - Wednesday - Free Day

Accommodation at Funchal.

Day 5 - Thursday - Santana (full day including lunch)

Pico do Arieiro: on the road to Carreiras which is the 3rd highest peak of Madeira with an altitude of 1818 meters - (if the weather does not permit, we will visit the village of Porto da Cruz).
Ribeiro Frio: Natural Park where you will walk along the Levada dos Balcões (if weather conditions let us to).
Santana: visit to the centre of the village to see the typical thatched roof houses followed by a visit to the Theme Park (entrance included) to watch the islands’ handcraft and History of the island. Here we will also serve the lunch.
Ponta de São Lourenço: stop at the viewpoint. Ponta de São Lourenço: stop at the belvedere of the easternmost point of the island. Accommodation at Funchal.

Day 6 - Friday - Free Day

Accommodation at Funchal.

Day 7 – Saturday – Return home

Private transfers between Hotel and Funchal Airport.
